Shaun brings fifteen years of library experience to his position as Library Director at the Washington County Public Library. After completing his undergraduate degree in Economics, with a minor in Business Administration, Shaun worked as a Library Assistant at Ivy Tech Community College in Marion, Indiana. While working at Ivy Tech, Shaun earned an MA in Adult and Community Education. After several years at Ivy Tech, Shaun was hired to be the Circulation Manager at Indiana Tech's new Law School Library in Fort Wayne, IN. While working at Indiana Tech, Shaun started studying for his Master's in Library Science. He completed his MLS during his first year as Library Director in Waterloo, IN. Shaun is a staunch supporter of intellectual freedom.  

Shaun's Christian faith is very important to him. His favorite Bible verse is Romans 12:1-2. He also enjoys interests/hobbies like economics, reading and writing SF, everything Star Wars, watching classic TV shows like Star Trek, The Andy Griffith Show and Seinfeld, and British comedies like Blackadder. He's also a fan of various sports. Big Blue Nation! Who Dey! Shaun and his wife Holly have been married for 18 years. Together, they have two young sons, Elijah and Jonah. They greatly enjoy being members of our community.
